I have a 12 mile walking route and I've tried quite a few top brands in my 30 year career. Thorogoods 6" boot is by far the best because of minimal break in time. Extremely comfortable and durable. I can put on approximately 1500 miles on one pair. Always order 2 pair a year.

I have tried many brands and none have worked out for me. I have finally found these to be the best for me. I use a thick hiking sock with these and they are pretty comfortable. I will say they took a little while to break in, but well worth it. I have had these going on three rainy seasons and they are still great.
